Energy Performance Certificate Information



A Domestic Energy Assessor is trained to assess the energy performance of existing dwellings, and to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

EPCs will be phased in during 2008. From June 30 2008, all new homes will require one.

The Energy Performance Certificate produced for a building will be based on a number of factors including Efficiency Of Boilers, Control Of Space And Water Heating, Fuel Costs, Carbon Dioxide Emissions, etc.

From the end of 2008 ALL homes will require one.
